Customer insight research by Cambridge University Press amongst international IGCSE Science teachers reveals that whilst Mathematics is an integral part of scientific study across each of the IGCSE Science subjects, it is one that many students find a barrier to progression and success, and that science teachers lack the knowledge, understanding and confidence to integrate successfully. This session will explore the results of Cambridge University Press research into the practical difficulties faced by teachers in delivering the mathematical elements of IGCSE Science, and introduce a new set of student resources developed in partnership with the ASE to help overcome the difficulties that students and teachers face, to help students build these skills more quickly and effectively, and to improve their success in IGCSE Sciences.
