This workshop will look at how assessment activities can be designed to produce diagnostic information which can then be used to identify intervention activities.  It will look at the idea that assessment is important but only really useful if it can answer the 'so what?' question.  What have I, as a teacher, learned about my students and what will I do about it?  There's a lot of work that goes into running assessments; it's not always so apparent how teachers then intervene to address specific aspects of underperformance.
