The review of the IB Diploma sciences is underway starting with Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The new courses will be fundamentally different to all previous iterations with a move away from a content focused experience toward a concept driven curriculum augmented by the skills which underpin understanding in science. These skills include collaboration and team work as well as an understanding of causality and complexity. The presentation will demonstrate the thinking underlying the changes, illustrated with interactive examples from the new Biology curriculum.
