In this session, we will discuss why it is opportune to rethink the way we represent energy in schools and look at some more helpful approaches. Specifically, there will be an introduction to the ideas of start & end points, stores and pathways. There will be opportunities to try out the new language in some examples you might use with students. We will move on to discussing processes that involve heating and think of the most important features of any changes in approach relating to the way that you represent and discuss energy with students.
