It is recognised that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds are underrepresented in Higher Education and in graduate careers, particularly in the sciences. We will present an account of a longitudinal Chemistry Outreach programme in secondary schools, supported by the RSC, that has been developed specifically for this demographic of learner.
