SEEd and the Sustainable Schools Alliance have recently launched a new Sustainable Schools Doorway on Nature & Biodiversity.
This practical session will provide and enable teachers to trial a framework for using this Doorway; linking it to their current projects and unlocking the potential for ‘learning for sustainability’ in their schools.

The Sustainable Schools Framework was built on the principle of care – of oneself, of others and of the environment. The Doorways into the framework are approached through Campus, Curriculum or Community approaches. There 8 original doorways in the framework are: Food and Drink; Energy and Water; Travel and Traffic; Purchasing and Waste; Buildings and Grounds; Inclusion and Participation; Local Well-being; and Global Dimension. These Doorways are now being updated to enable practical curriculum links and reflect the Sustainable Development Goals - or Global Goals.
