Greg Dick

Greg Dick is a charismatic education thought leader, author, trailblazing teacher, and passionate advocate of scientific literacy. Since 2007, Greg has served as the Director of Educational Outreach at Canada’s Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario, where his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit have helped scale the reach of Perimeter’s Outreach programs across Canada and beyond. Through cutting-edge public programming and award-winning educational resources, Greg and his team share the joy, mystery, and power of science with millions worldwide. A recipient of the Barraday Teacher of Excellence Award, Greg is a former Head of Science at Galt Collegiate Institute, where he taught for 16 years. He was a system leader, cultivating and motivating incremental change, and developing new student-centered approaches now embedded in textbooks, educational resources, courses, and curricula. Greg also enjoys mentoring and giving back. He is a an active member on various boards, including Canada’s Science and Technology Awareness Network and the Wilfrid Laurier Centre for Women in Science, and also works with ministries of education across the globe. He speaks professionally on a variety of education topics, sharing his experience and expertise internationally, including at an annual discussion with European educators at CERN, in Switzerland.
